Turning off tablet input

Turning off tablet input only applies to users running Microsoft Windows Vista. Windows XP and Windows 7 users can ignore this section.

To be able to utilize NextWindow™'s hardware full featured with Snowflake Suite, go to the configuration of Pen and Input Devices and uncheck 'Use your finger as input'. This is due to the Windows pen input driver working as the Windows mouse driver. By default it only allows for one input point at a time.

Running Snowflake Suite

When utilizing Snowflake Suite on a NextWindow platform on Windows XP or Windows Vista, it is required to run it via the TUIO Sender provided with the Snowflake Suite installer.

1. First start the TUIO Sender, which can be found via the Start menu (Start -> Programs -> Snowflake Suite -> TUIO Sender). The TUIO Sender needs to be started before Snowflake Suite is started. Once the TUIO Sender is started and has been initialized, Snowflake Suite can be started (keep the TUIO Sender running in the background).

2. If the TUIO Sender notices two connected NextWindow devices, it will prompt for calibration of the devices. How to set it up is explained via on-screen instructions.

When running Windows 7, install the NextWindow Windows 7 drivers along with Snowflake Suite Windows 7 and afterward run Snowflake Suite.

Information Note
The NextWindow™ hardware/software platform has a known limitation, on which NextWindow™ is currently working. NUITEQ tried to undercatch this limitation, by integrating prediction inside Snowflake. NUITEQ is not liable for limitations that NextWindow™ hardware and software might cause.
